Technical information/safety/application
We, Endres Tools GmbH, manufacture our tools from the alloys "special bronze (aluminium-bronze alloy)" and "copper-beryllium".
Both alloys have been tested by the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (Federal Office for Materials Research and Testing) (BAM) and are suitable for use in EX zones 1/21 and 2/22 (1999/92/EC) in compliance with the general conditions described in the certificate.
The certificate BAM/ZBF/001/24 confirms the suitability for "special bronze" in explosion groups I, IIA, IIB, and acetylene. (DIN EN ISO/IEC 80079-20-1:2020-09)
The certificate BAM/ZBF/002/24 confirms the suitability for "copper beryllium" in explosion groups I, IIA, IIB, IIC and acetylene. (DIN EN ISO/IEC 80079-20-1:2020-09)
The following conditions apply in both cases:
The impact partner is reinforced screed concrete and the maximum energy input must not exceed 31Nm.
We would like to urge you to comply with these conditions in order to ensure safe handling.
You are welcome to contact us directly with any enquiries about the certificate. We will be happy to provide you with the documents.

The following instructions for use need to be taken into consideration to ensure the safe use of our non-sparking tools:
- The use of non-sparking tools must not be the only protective measure in areas where there is a risk of fire or explosion. For comprehensive protection of personnel and equipment, please observe the regulations of your national and international guidelines as well as professional associations’ instructions.
- Non-sparking tools are softer and more sensitive than conventional tools. The tools must therefore be used with particular care. Overloading or inappropriate use must therefore be avoided.
-
Special care must be taken when reworking tools made of "copper-beryllium". Beryllium can be hazardous to health in the form of dust. Good ventilation, respiratory protection for employees and the use of a lubricant are therefore necessary. For comprehensive protection for your personnel, please find out which protective measures are necessary for the processing of beryllium in your company. Or you can contact us. Endres Tools is able to rework the tools as required
There is no health risk when using the copper beryllium tools as intended.
If you have any questions about the use of the tools, the certificates and EX zones or other technical issues, please feel free to contact Endres Tools at any time.
We will be happy to help you.
